Desde que se lanzó el blog de Pixel.do en enero hasta la fecha en la que escribo este artículo, todos los contenidos han estado enfocados en branding y posicionamiento en medios digitales.
Antes de poner un broche de oro a este bloque (aunque en un futuro volveremos a retomarlo), decidí crear este checklist con los puntos más importantes que debes de tener en cuenta para estar bien posicionado en medios digitales.
Mientras más checks le marques a esta lista, mejor para tu proyecto o empresa. Si es posible tenerlos todos (dependiendo del proyecto) mucho mejor todavía.
¿Por qué tanto énfasis en el tema de branding y posicionamiento?
Tener un buen producto o servicio no es suficiente para tener éxito hoy en día. Es de vital importancia:
- Que te puedan encontrar, y en esto consiste el posicionamiento
- Que crean en ti y decidan hacer negocios contigo, para lo cual el branding ayuda bastante
"Si le agradas a la gente te van a escuchar, pero si confían harán negocios contigo"
Checklist del buen posicionamiento en medios digitales
- Perfiles completos en redes sociales
Esto significa ... pues textualmente lo que dice. Un buen perfil en redes sociales debe de estar lo más completo posible. Redes sociales como Facebook o Linkedin requieren de muchos datos, mientras que otras como Twitter o Instagram menos. Lo más importante que deben tener es:
- Imagen de perfil. Por lo general un logo o ícono del proyecto
- Imagen de fondo de perfil (en las redes que aplique)
- Descripción breve donde en pocas palabras digas a qué te dedicas.
- Datos de contacto (teléfono o email). Si no aparece este campo (Ej. Instagram o Twitter) lo colocas en la descripción.
- Dirección de le empresa, si aplica. Si no aparece este campo (Ej. Instagram o Twitter) lo colocas en la descripción.
- Descripción larga (para Facebook) donde expliques con más detalle sobre tu proyecto o empresa.
- Estar posicionado en Google
Google es el principal motor de búsquedas del mundo, en especial el mundo de habla hispana. No estar posicionado en Google es dejar pasar oportunidades. Sea que tengas una web, blog o tienda online, o solamente estés en redes sociales, es muy importante que cuando te busquen en Google estés bien posicionado. Para eso:
- Asegúrate de que tus perfiles en redes sociales estén debidamente completos
- El meta título de tu web/blog/tienda online debe coincidir con el nombre con que te conocen
- La meta descripción de la web debe estar debidamente llenada. Evita a toda costa errores como este:
Plaza Lama, la súper tienda, dando el mal ejemplo en posicionamiento SEO. Se salvan porque son una marca tradicional súper conocida en Rep Dom y que no dependen de medios digitales
- Cada vez que crees una página nueva en tu web, asegúrate de se base en una palabra clave relacionada con tu empresa y/o público.
- Cada vez que subas una imagen, asegúrate de que tu título, url y texto alternativo tengan una palabra clave que representen a tu empresa o sean algo de lo que busca tu público.

- Estar ubicado en Google Maps
En Google Maps, o estás o no estás, no hay punto intermedio. Por supuesto, si no tienes un local físico que visiten clientes, esta parte puede omitirse. Pero si tienes un restaurante, oficina de consultoría, tienda, etc. el no aparecer en Google Maps es un gravísimo error de posicionamiento.
En mi caso personal (y el de mucha gente también), si no apareces en Google Maps, y para colmo tampoco en Google, me iré a un competidor que me ofrezca lo mismo.

- Disponer de contenido de marca
Sean artes gráficos, videos, artículos, o lo que sea, necesitas contenido propio que represente tu marca. Compartir contenido ajeno puede ser útil de vez en cuando, pero es el contenido propio el que hará que se identifiquen con tu marca.
Esto forma parte de los artículos de marketing de contenido que se publicarán pronto en este blog. Mientras tanto, si tienes suficiente contenido propio para publicar varias veces a la semana sin depender del ajeno, te puedes poner un check aqui.
La razón por la que esto es tan importante, es que si contenido es bueno lo empezará a compartir mucha gente, y no puedes darte el lujo que lo que compartan no represente tu marca, es decir, no te aporte branding.
- Poseer una base de datos de personas interesadas
Ya que los correos electrónicos no son algo visible como el número de me gusta o seguidores, es posible pensar que esto no es tan importante para el branding y posicionamiento. Nada más lejos de la verdad, y te explico por qué:
- La bandeja de entrada de tu correo electrónico es un buen lugar para que tengas presencia, y es parte de una buena estrategia de posicionamiento de marketing digital.
- Con una buena estrategia de marketing de contenidos, aumentas el branding de tu proyecto o empresa por medio de enviar contenido de calidad.
- Tus suscriptores pueden enviar correos a sus conocidos, lo que te ayuda a darte a conocer en nuevos públicos.
Si actualmente estás recolectando los emails de suscriptores, puedes poner un check en esta parte.
En resumen, estos son los Checklist de un buen posicionamiento en medios digitales mencionados en este artículo.
Si tu proyecto o empresa cumple todo este checklist, estás en muy buen camino. Si no, no pasa nada malo, siempre se puede mejorar para cumplir con el listado.
